1. The Wartburg Library—then and now. The third information literacy librarian position was the result of the library’s first personnel increase in over ten years. By this time, the library’s Web page had become an integral part of instruction and service, so virtual instruction became the obvious area of coordination for this position. As a result of this search, the third information literacy librarian joined the staff in July 2005. 5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) librarians then held the official title of information literacy librarian, and the inexorable trend toward deploying human resources in direct support of the library’s mission was evident.
