As no clear conclusion has been drawn on what kind of communication is most suitable for robot teams [7], it is our aim to gain a better understanding of the impact of more advanced communication strategies where multiple robots can coordinate their behavior by exchanging their beliefs and/or goals. By communicating beliefs and/or goals, the robots can create a shared mental model to enhance their team awareness. In this paper, we want to gain in particular a better understanding of the role of communication in the search and retrieval tasks with and without ordering constraints on the team goal.
